FAITH IN OUR FAMILY
(helping parents pass on The Faith to their children)
What is Faith in our Family?
A series of 6 sessions beginning 19 November 2003 right through to June 2004. The sessions focus exclusively on faith in the family and its inter-relationships (wider Church, Parish, School). It is designed:
- to enable parents of young children to make friends
- to impart some basic formation in the faith of the Church and create constructive opportunities for discussion
- to provide an opportunity for the renewal of parents' own faith as the primary way of influencing that of their children.
Who is it for?
It's primarily for:
- parents who try to practise their faith and have young children (post Baptism/Communion age)
- parents who take their responsibility seriously
- parents who find dealing with their children's faith a real challenge
- parents who would like some help from The Church in bringing their children up in the Catholic faith
- parents, no matter their family situation, who may need to explore their faith so that they are more effective in the most important task of all: bringing up their children with a living and vibrant faith which will last for a lifetime and beyond.
