Flower pictures | Tour of Church
Beautiful arrangements by well-known (and not so well-known) flower arrangers on the theme of Millennium Miracles. Some 30 exhibitors took part, a number of whom have won prizes at Chelsea and Hampton Court. Arrangements were set in our stunning new church.
This event was a huge success, with just under £2,000 being taken over the four days. There are obviously expenses to be deducted from this amount, nevertheless it raised a healthy profit for our new church. As well as the beautiful floral arrangements themselves on the themes of "Millennium Miracles", there were many contributors to the craft sale and our thanks to them for their time and talent. The recycled cards alone raised £69. There was also considerable participation by the children of St Joseph's School. We enjoyed seeing their imaginative mini-gardens.
The festival provided the perfect opportunity for people from Epsom and further afield to come to see our new church and there was certainly a great deal of interest in the church design and in the facilities available in our community centre.
Our thanks to all the exhibitors, those who helped with the refreshments and those who came along to support the event. Special thanks must go to Paulette and Marion who masterminded the whole event and who worked to hard so make it such a success.
