The Epsom Irish Association Blooms again

The Epsom Irish Association reconvened in March 2003 after a long interval. Since then, under the leadership of Joe Finn, it has organised several social dance evenings held at St Josephs Church Hall in Epsom at the top of Saint Margaret Drive. As with most new beginnings, things have improved with each event and attendees are now guaranteed a smooth floor and a ready supply of their favourite sin from the bar, served in a timely fashion.

Bands specialising in Irish craic such as Mary D'Arcy have livened up the evenings of many a person regardless of nationality. The most recent performance by the Tom Healy Showband was supported by a guest appearance from Elvis himself.

All that is required to join in, is an ability to waltz (and if you can't waltz then you can still clasp your loved one to your bosom and turn slowly in the middle of the room). A variety of dance styles can be seen ranging from the modern waltz to French Ceroc jiving with one couple regularly performing Cajun style.

Profits raised are donated to St Josephs Relocation Fund. So take a look at Events and come along to join in the fun.

Tickets can be purchased in advance at a reduced price of £5.00 or £6.00 on the night.
