Music Group - 6pm Sunday Mass
Hi! My name is Emma Smith and I run the 6pm Music Group on Sunday. I am 22 years of age and I am a trainee solicitor. I have loved music from an early age and I play the piano, guitar and flute.
I am delighted to have this opportunity to welcome all of you who would like to join us. There are no qualifications needed, all we ask is that you have a good sense of humour. Do not worry if you feel that you are not good enough, everyone is good enough to play. The group is great because it enables all of us, who have different musical history, to improve as we play and learn from each other.
Our present members are:
Richard who plays drums and sings rather well too
Elsa who plays the violin
Sarah who plays the clarinet
Katie and Caroline who play the flute
Annie, Liz, Simon and Dawn play the guitar
Carol who sings
Please do not think that there are lots of members already and they will not need me, we need all the support we can get. Some of our members flit in and out as they are at university, some need a break every now and then and need to know there are plenty of people to cover the gaps. So remember everyone is needed.
If you just want to get involved with the setting up and choosing of the music please let me know, all help is very much appreciated. Or if you are looking for some more friends and not so musically involved, you are very welcome to join our social events.
We gather at 5.15pm on Sunday to set up and tune up. Practise starts at 5.30pm sharp.
