Social Events
The
Social Events Parish Group wants to bring alive a sense of community
and belonging among all members of the parish through social
activities. We aim to
- Identify groups who are sometimes overlooked
- Organise activities that foster a sense of community
- Promote family values
- Distinguish between social & fund raising events
The events and activities we undertake, together with other Parish Groups, include:
- Valentines Disco
- After mass tea and coffee
- Parish Dance
- Three Kings Party
- Coffee morning
- Pooh corner toddlers group
- Quiz Night
- Wednesday Welcome
- 9:30 am Coffee morning
- Irish group
- Italian community
- Whist
- Women Together
We have a parish debt resulting from the building of the marvellous church and facilities. In order to repay this debt on-going fund raising activities, consistent with parish life, are required. These need people to help organise them, but organising events can also be great fun. We are always looking out for people with innovative ideas for fund raising that are fun for the parish community to take part in and enjoy.
As a community we share a common faith but we also want to have fun and meet new people. The Social and Events Parish Group provides the opportunity to do this. If you would like to help, even only occasionally, then please contact the Parish Group Coordinator, the Parish Office or any member of your Parish Pastoral Council.
