AN INVITATION TO CONFIRMATION 2002/2003

AND SEE
The Bishop will, next Spring, be celebrating the Sacrament of Confirmation for the Roman Catholic Deanery of Epsom. This Sacrament fulfils the promise which Jesus made on the night before he died, when he said to his followers:
"I will ask the Father to send another Advocate, who will be with you for ever." (John 14:16)
This helper, the Holy Spirit, gives us strength, the courage and the love to live as Jesus taught us, and so to find the peace and the joy which God alone can give.
In the name of Jesus, our Parish of St Joseph extends to any young person, aged fourteen and in the fourth year (year 10) of secondary school in September 2002, who wishes to be confirmed with the gift of the Spirit, the opportunity to share in our Parish Preparation Programme for Confirmation.
An information evening for those young people and their parents will be held on 1 October 2002 at St Joseph's Church, Epsom at 8.00 pm. If you wish to join this year's programme then complete the application form opposite and return it before 31 August 2002 along with an enrolment fee of £20 towards the cost of materials, etc. (Please contact Sr Margarite on 01372 745297 if this is a problem.) No applications will be accepted after 31 August.
