Prayer and short reflection David Walsh 2. Matters Arising The new Hymn Books are now in place and lots of sponsorship money towards the Hymn Books is coming in. 3. AOB - David Walsh has sent proposed dates of forthcoming meetings for the year with names of those responsible for the opening prayer and short reflection. - Bishop Kieran has been invited to talk on the 12th June, as part of our Adult Formation in the Parish, on a topic of his choice, but possibly the Media and the Church in the 21st Century. The format is likely to be similar to the evening with Fr. Dominic Robinson, which was held before Christmas. - Fr Bills Silver Jubilee celebration will be held on Friday 14th July, a subgroup has been formed, David Walsh to report on their progress at forthcoming meetings. 4. Welcome to new members and election of officers David Walsh welcomed the new members to the meeting, and in their absence thanked John Turner, Chrtistine Sibthorp and Richard Davieson for all they have contributed in the last three years as members of the PPC. The following Officers were then appointed for the year; Michelle Gresty is to share Secretary role with Patrizia Wakefield David Walsh - Chair Michael Trip Vice Chair 5. Parish Day 2006 Provisional date set for 23rd September 2006 All felt the format of the day worked well previously and should remain the same. It was suggested to invite Bishop Kieran to the day David Walsh to follow up. Workshops - Structured workshop for the Youth Group Possibly invite speaker from the Welcome Day Looking at bringing back Nora Courtney It was suggested that the day should have a theme. Advertising campaign should start in May. 6. Planning Parishes 2010 Fr Bill talked through the proposed plan and possible next stage in the planning process. No further action to be taken by the group at present. 7. Parish Groups With the departure of former PPC members the following groups now need someone to act as the link between the groups and the PPC. If you are interested in taking on this role for any of these groups please inform David Walsh at the next meeting to be held on 20th April.
