Matters Arising - A potential speaker for the Parish Day has been identified. - The links between the PPC and the vacant Parish Groups have been agreed: Liturgy and Music Kevin Rourke Faith Development David Walsh Sacramental Preparation Christine Bailey Youth Group Jackie Rourke. 3. AOB None. 4. Welcome Ministry It was suggested that automatic e-mails could be set up to alert volunteers a set time prior to their next scheduled ministry to help reduce absenteeism. No final decision was made. It was proposed that there would be a meeting for the welcomers to thank them and ask for feedback. David and Michelle will talk outside the meeting and report back next meeting. 5. Finance Parish Group update In order to update new members of the PPC, Michael Tripp gave feedback on the overall financial picture for the Parish. It was proposed that Oona be formally recognized for all her help, this will be done at the Parish Open Meeting later in the year. 11th June is the proposed date for the Planned Giving Appeal. It was suggested that a letter be sent to all those parishioners whose standing orders to the relocation fund may be ending soon, to urge them to keep them running until at least 2010. 6. Premises Parish group update Simon Smallwood gave an overview of the work of the Premises Group. A meeting is to be held with the school to discuss car parking issues and possible future developments. It was suggested that Christine Sibthorp be approached with an idea of the youth groups helping on Tidy Up Days. 7. Other Parish Groups It was noted that a review of the Social events in the Parish needs to take place. The very successful Golf Day was held for the final time last year, at present we have no event to replace it. 8. Date of next meeting Thursday 18th May.
